Nextrials announced it had been selected in midstream by ArQule to take over data-capture chores in a Phase I-II study.
Arqule recently exited the chemistry business to focus its quest to develop new drugs using its own scientific tools. ArQule says it has ongoing projects with Roche; former collaborations include Pfizer, Wyeth and Solvay.
The Nextrials software, called Prism, combines functionality that some companies separate: electronic data capture (EDC), data management, drug safety and inventory management.
James Rogers, co-founder and CEO, said: “ArQule required a more efficient and cost-effective clinical trial data management system to help speed its drug development effort. Its latest study was already under way, yet Prism’s flexibility enables it to seamlessly integrate into ArQule’s existing processes and replace paper-based data collection without study disruption.”
