Deloitte named the next batch of Fast 500 companies.

etrials is 363rd on the list. Since 2001, etrials says, it has grown its revenues by 345 percent; this is the company’s second consecutive appearance on the list.

“Sophisticated technology is becoming the norm and is in almost everything in the 21st century,” said Tony Kern, deputy managing principal of Deloitte’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications industry practice. “etrials has developed technology solutions that deliver in today’s highly competitive world, and we applaud their efforts, ingenuity and teamwork in becoming one of the fastest growing technology companies in North America.”

Companies entering the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 must be headquartered in North America and have had 2001 operating revenues of at least $50,000 (or $75,000 Canadian), and 2005 operating revenues of at least $5 million (or the same Canadian figure). In addition, entrants must own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology that contributes to a significant proportion of the company’s operating revenues.

etrials, however, is not the only company on the list supporting clinical trials. Medidata is in the 70th position, Octagon Research is no. 83, DataTrak International is no. 253, Clinical Data is no. 369 and eResearch Technology is no. 497.
