Clinipace, a clinical research software company focusing on clinical trials and patient registries, has announced the launch of its Empowered Partner Program (EPP). In response to the industry’s need for highly configurable clinical software, Clinipace is offering small and medium-sized CROs a tailored and proven clinical technology suite to include in their service offering. By providing a more comprehensive service offering to their pharmaceutical clients with Clinipace’s technology, these CROs can compete more effectively with larger, full-service CROs, while still maintaining their own unique level of specialized client service.

ClinPhone, a provider of clinical technology solutions, has received accreditation from CDISC for its EDC product. CDISC is the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium, a non-profit organization that has developed standards to support the acquisition, exchange, submission and archive of clinical research data and metadata to streamline clinical trials and improve data quality and patient safety. ClinPhone is the first clinical technology organization to receive this accreditation, which verifies that ClinPhone’s EDC product has been successfully validated and given CDISC certified status for its ODM Export capabilities.

Jubilant Organosys, (Jubilant), an integrated pharmaceutical company and India’s Custom Research and Manufacturing Services (CRAMS) and Drug Discovery & Development Services company, has announced today that its Board of Directors has approved the acquisition of a 100% equity stake in Hollister Stier Laboratories (Hollister). Hollister is a U.S. entity engaged in high growth injectable contract manufacturing and has a well-established and stable allergy immunotherapy business.

INC Research has bought its second Pennsylvania-based contract research organization (CRO) in six months. North Carolina-based INC Research said the new purchase, Advanced Biologics, will be used to strengthen its infectious disease operations as this is Advanced Biologics’ area of expertise. The full-service CRO also has experience in Phase I-IV studies for drugs being developed for cancer, neurological diseases, urological conditions and women’s health.

XClinical GmbH, a European vendor of software products for e-clinical trials, successfully passed the ODM certification process. The Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) announced today at the “CDISC European Interchange” in Montreux, Switzerland, that Marvin will be the first EDC-CDM software suite to receive the official certification logo for full compliance with the Operational Data Model (ODM).

MyMedicalRecords.com, the web-based service for secure and confidential storage of patient health records and other important documents, has announced a new suite of features including an innovative global language capability, including Spanish and Japanese. Users can select which language they want the service presented, either on the home page or via their account profile, and all captions, labels and text on the site will instantaneously change. The MyMedicalRecords.com account can include an entire range of medical records from patient charts, doctor’s notes, lab reports, prescriptions and immunization records. Images, such as X-rays, EKGs, CT scans and MRI’s can be uploaded into the account directly from the user’s computer.
