Parexel International’s technology division, Perceptive Informatics, announced an enhanced version of Impact, its clinical trial management system (CTMS). “As clients face further globalization of clinical trials and require site management and monitoring of increasingly complex studies, they need technology that keeps pace. NetRegulus, a provider of enterprise compliance software, announced that Ablation Frontiers, involved in technology development for arrhythmia management, has selected the NetRegulus NetRM solution to manage the next phase of the company’s clinical trial schedule. Biogen Idec, a biotechnology company, announced that Paul Clancy has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective 13 August 2007. He will report directly to James C. Mullen, the company’s chief executive officer. Clancy is currently senior vice president of finance, with responsibilities for leading the treasury, tax, investor relations and business planning groups. “Paul brings more than 20 years of experience in financial management and strategic business planning,” Mullen said, “In his six years at Biogen Idec, he has repeatedly proven himself to be an effective and valued leader.”
