PHT, the Boston maker of electronic patient reported outcome (ePRO) solutions, has been awarded ISO recertification. PHT initially achieved ISO 9001:2000 registration in 2002. The company has since undergone annual surveillance audits, and was recertified in December of 2005. Across industries, 35% of companies who achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification fail to be recertified, in part because one requirement for recertification is to demonstrate continual improvement of the company’s quality processes and customer satisfaction levels. “PHT’s quality management system is without question the best I have ever seen in over 20 years of development and auditing experience,” said Joe Buonomo, director of clinical programming, systems evaluation and management, at a company PHT declined to identify. “I was most impressed with their meticulous process documentation and work flows, which result in an intimate understanding of responsibilities and standard operating procedures throughout the entire team.”
