Aris Global, a provider of safety and regulatory solutions, announced the general release of agXchange IRT 6.0, a web-based solution for handling adverse event information in different formats. IRT stands for inbound receipt and triage. “Aris Global is committed to the extended electronic exchange gateway as the way organizations can take advantage of the inherent productivity benefits that automated paperless operations deliver,” said Wim Cypers, VP, product management, Aris Global. “The agXchange IRT module will decrease the amount of time organizations spend collecting and verifying safety information, and will increase their ability to report complete and accurate safety information on time,” Cypers added.

Duke University Medical Center has chosen the Alphadas Logos Technologies electronic data capture (EDC) system. Duke will become the first academic medical center to use the Alphadas system. “We will be using this innovative system in our two clinical research units as well as in our new, 30-bed Phase I Duke clinical research unit (DCRU),” said Robert Califf, director of the Duke Translational Medicine Institute and vice chancellor for clinical research at the Duke University School of Medicine. “We will be able to capture and enter specific patient-safety data necessary for accurate adverse-event reporting, while also collecting other key data components that will aid us in designing a dose and dosing interval for that specific subject population,” he said.
