Kendle International acquired a Latin American CRO. Kendle purchased International Clinical Research Ltd. and its affiliated companies, the company said in a news release. Terms were not disclosed. The purchase gives Kendle a new foothold in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Chile. The company already has operations in Mexico and Peru, and recently reorganized its global business into five regions: North America, Europe, Asia/Pacific, Latin America and Africa. The acquired company will operate under the Kendle name, and will be overseen by Dennis Hurley, vice president, of global clinical development, Latin America. Dr. Raul Bozzo, founder of International Clinical Research, will serve as medical director, Latin America; and country manager for Argentina and Chile. Mariagabriela Alterio and Alcione Braga will be country managers for Colombia and Brazil, respectively.
